Database outage and move to a new database
MonitoringOur database ran into its daily usage limit during the Timeless 2026 ticket launch, so some pages and admin tools stopped loading. We found what was using it up, fixed that, paused ticket sales and payments so no one could be charged during the problem, and moved everything to a new, separate database.
If you already paid: your payment is safe. Keep your screenshot and Transaction ID and we will confirm your order by email.

Site switched to the new database
The website and admin were pointed at the new database. Final checks are running before ticket sales reopen.

All 624 records copied and checked
Orders, tickets, payments, admin accounts and settings were copied one by one. Every collection was compared against the original and the counts matched exactly.

Original database readable again
The daily limit reset, which let us read everything and begin the copy. Ticket sales stayed paused while we did it.

Maintenance switch made independent of the database
The pause can now be turned on or off in seconds, even if the database is down.

Maintenance mode released: ticket sales and payments paused
A maintenance screen replaced checkout so nobody could pay while orders might not be recorded. Customers who had already paid were told to keep their screenshot and Transaction ID.

Admin reads cut sharply
Admin pages now share one recent copy of the data instead of each reading the whole database again.

The limit was reached again a few hours after it reset.

Payments made more forgiving
Automatic emails, reminders and a ready-for-review queue so a payment is not missed even on a busy night.

A separate Firebase project and a safe copy tool were ready, with the database rules locked down.

The health check confirmed the limit was still used up. The limit resets once a day.

Admin pages left open in the background were quietly using the database. They now pause when the tab is hidden and refresh less often.

The new-order alert check was reading too much. It was reduced.
